Opal & Bay Leaf Pin/Brooch

This brooch was given to me as a gift from an Australian airline Executive some 25 or 30 years ago. I was told that the stones are true Australian Opals and that the design included 14K dipped leaves and stems. It was also mentioned that the design and the opal when combined are considered to have good luck when worn. I love the opal stone particular the blueish tone and the many colors it can capture and display. It is a natural thing of beauty, elegance and color. I have kept it all of these years as a keepsake but would now like to make room for other jewelry. Also, it has never changed in color or clarity! To see and wear it is a joy!
