I believe this to be crystal as it "sings" when fingers slightly run down the sides. However, Replacements.com and another glass site have not been able to identify. I have scoured all known online makers mark pages....international too without finding any result. The previous owner purchased from a friend in 1966. The friend said it was her grandmothers who was from France. The "makers mark" is as follows: a standing lion (all four legs visible with one paw raised), a calligraphy capital "R", a standing lion (all four legs visible with one paw raised). The lions are each facing the "R". The vase measures 4 1/2" tall 5 3/4" wide at opening and the base is 2 3/4" in diameter. Any intel is appreciated! Thank you!
the mark is Roden Brothers; makers of Canadian Brilliant Period Cut Glass
Hi Tallcakes! Thank you SO much! I saw the silver markings were close but never saw the glass markings anywhere. You rock! Thanks again!
