I found this framed piece years ago at an estate sale. I have always wondered what TYPE of art it is. It has been professionally framed with non-glare glass. I am not very knowledgeable. Is it a watercolor, woodcut, print? It looks to be pretty old. There is a signature in pencil on the right and a stamp of some kind in the bottom left corner. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It is a colored etching.
Thank you mp.kunst! So is it a "copy" of an etching that has been colored. I'm guessing the person who colored it also signed it?
Unfortunately, the large photo of the piece did not get posted with my post.
If it is an 'etching' I advise you to go further, to understand what an etching is. This link will show you all the different types of etchings, prints, lithographs, coloured - watercolour, aquatint etc.
This may better serve you, educationally, to discover what type of piece you have.

Your photos are quite dark, can you replace with some better pics taken in natural light. A photo of the complete picture would help, as would one of the back.
Thanks everso -
Thank you everso! I will do that!
