After Steptoe1 posted a chain (pocket watch) and wasn't sure what was for, I thought I might show a few variations of pocket watch chains & straps that I have.
In the first group photo from the left:
1 & 2: Double Albert Chains. Watch on one side placed in vest pocket, fob i.e. key, knife, cigar cutter on the other side in opposite vest pocket..
3: T-Bar fits through vest button hole, watch attaches to snap.
4: Same as 3 except it has a extra short chain & ring attachment for a fob.
5: Ring with slide opening to attach around button threads & snap on other end for the watch.
6: T-Bar, slide piece to hold chains together, snap for watch.
7: Cylinder screw open/close on both ends. One to place around button or belt loop, watch on the other end.
8: Clip on belt, snap for watch.
9: Large snap for belt loop, small snap for watch.
10 & 11: Belt slips through metal bar, snap for watch.
12: Braided leather belt strap, belt through large loop, watch on buckle end.
13: Fob leather strap, strap feeds through the watch bow & fob on the other end with strap buckled together and watch carried in levi watch pocket.
Just a little reference to pocket watch chains & straps.

Love the variety (and the bear).
SpiritBear, I will make a post for the Bear fob. I might have photos already of it. If not, I will take some tomorrow.

Wow what a great collection of chains and thanks for the info about them all , very much appreciated as it will help if I come across one in the near future.
Steptoe1, glad you like them, there are others, but I had a hard time fitting these in a photo.

Hi Dave. Regarding the pocket watch keys looking at what's available I realise that these incredible pieces this could be quite expensive collection to collect. But hey ho so were the pencils especially the Sampson Mordan ones. But yes the pocket watch keys I've seen are certainly worth collecting. Have you bought any from Specialist dealers or is it just an Ebay thing. Regards Neil
Neil, yes they can command a sizable amount of funds for some.
Thanks hunterglee for the appreciation.
