The 2 trademark symbols on your knife, indicate it is a Joseph Rodgers knife, from Sheffield England. All i have at this point, but will continue to look for more info if i can.

Faith - You have a delete comment option - would you be so kind and delete my time and space wasting time posts. Thank you!
To heck with all that delete nonsense "Gillian", you and me are on the same page, so lets work it together, and give Faith her/his moneys worth? Your move, Lol
Any one know the time period or value
Hard to say how old it is, but it appears this trademark ended in the 1970's. To me it has a 1930 to 1970 look to it. No values allowed to be given here, even if i knew, which i don't.
I am sorry, I did not know I was not supposed to ask value. Thanks for the comments
No need to be sorry, as it is done here from time to time by others.
I will say this about your knife tho, It is imo a few of a kind keeper, and this is the first time i have ever seen the Marks it has. If i were you, i would stop by a couple of the knife forums, (i belong to 4 or 5 of them), and see what they say. I would seek out a Mr. Bernard Levine, as he has written several of the most comprehensive books on knives, in the world. He will give you a full run down (including price), for a fee. Last time i communicated with him, he lived in Oregon, USA. Good Luck!
it is really nice ! the fit and finish look like the stuff of the ww2 era when quality was standard instead of exclusive in many fields , especially cutlery.
