Can anyone give me any information on this Hammond Clock? I've looked online and cannot find this exact clock. I've seen a few in the same style, but not like this with the full glass in the front. I'm also trying to date it.
I have one of these clocks. It was originally purchased by my grandparents around 1930. It ran continuously and perfectly until just a few months ago. I am currently trying to figure out the best way to repair it. The electric motor in your clock is not the original. The original had a movement known as a synchronous motor. It was unusual because if it stopped because of a power outage or being unplugged you had to restart the motor by spinning a knob on the back. You will notice on the face of the clock that there is a hole below the center where the hands are attached. On the original motor there is a small rotating plate that alternates between black and white when the clock is running. I ran across your listing while I was searching for options to repair mine.
Some more info.

And here is an original ad from 1929. My grandparents lived in Chicago in 1929.
