i picked up this porcelain muffineer today from my favorite junk shop. it's 4.5 inches tall and has nice, intact gilding on the top and on the base and very nice art nouveau cartouches of flowers and garlands dividing the larger ivory section below, with the much smaller blue sections above. It's marked on the base 'A.&E.R.', 'Royal', and 'Austria'.
Ho2, this is really, really stunning!
thanks Tassie!

For the most part the artist that painted the pieces did not work at the factory they were in America just regular people the factory was financed by American importers of the New York firm Larzarus Straus & Sons and in 1889 they started producing what was called white ware that came with instructions on how to paint them and in America it was a big craft craze at the time of the of the first decade of the early 1900’s the factory was closed due to WW1.
thank you very much IVAN49 for the very valuable information!
