These Mickey and Minnie Dolls were produced by the Dean's Rag Book Co. in London in 1930. These were one of the first Mickey Mouse produced. Walt was not happy with the company's rendition of Mickey. He did not renew their contract.
I really do learn something every day. These are so appealing, and the history is interesting. I wish I had one of the metal 'holder-uppers', it would really help with the back pain. Might even manage to lose some weight - though the head pieces aren't a complete circle, and looks as if I could fit some chocolate in there.
Great first post - welcome to CW donnadiz.

Gillian, Too bad you don't live in the middle ages. They could place you on "the rack" and really straighten out your back! Of course, you'd be six inches taller, too! HA! Thanks for the post!
