These earrings are a new addition to my collection. I'm always on the look out for Instone earrings. The leave pattern and construction at the back are in his style. He often used opals, yet again no makers mark and no silver mark which was very common in his work.
Looking from the back the opals are solid, not doublets, I think they have been converted for pierced ears. I personally think they are his work but would be happy to hear your opinion here on CW.
Many thanks for looking.
I would definitely wear those gorgeous earrings!
I have to agree that they are Instone, it's always nice to have second opinion. I always appreciate your help Bonnie. They are lovely addition to my collection and the added bonus is that they are pierced so no problem with wearing them they will be comfortable
Oh so wonderful ! love love
I really appreciate your comment Mankin :-)))

These earrings which I posted on CW are very similar.
I never wear earrings--but these are irresistible!
Just wonderful Jean and very similar to the moonstones!
Beauteous!! Lovely pieces Jean, and the opals are good. Well found!
Woaahhh, striking earrings! The opals are so difficult to photograph, your pics are top :-)
Thank you PostCardCollector, for you lovely comment.
Hi Judy, yes they are very similar from the front, but looking at the back of the moonstone earrings they are very different, which leads me to believe that the moonstone earrings were made at a later date, I could be wrong. As always thanks for your comment.
Thank you Karen, these type of pieces are beginning to get difficult to find, and if you do come upon them expensive.
Hi kyra, I took the photo's outside in the late evening sun as it was going down, they seem to show up the opals but they do have more colour to them.
Yes I'm getting quite a collection of earrings. What strikes me is I have very few bracelets which are not enamel, I do have bracelets which have been marked for other makers but I'm sure they were made by Bernard Instone. As always thanks for your comment.
You've got a good eye for his pieces. Trust your instincts girl, so far, it seems they have proven to be right from what I can tell. These are beauties!
Awww shareurpassion thank you.
Oh opals my favourite! These are beautiful, vintage and wearable . I've never heard the expression 'triple whammy' but I think it could be coined for these.
Thank you Elainep, I also love opals and the added advantage for me is these earrrings were designed by Bernard Instone. It's always a bonus when I find what I consider lovely and rare pieces by him. I recently bought some more Instone earrings I'll post soon. I really appreciate your visit.
Many thanks
