RGC is a relatively new glass maker in Japan, established in 1985 on the island of Okinawa. Okinawa has a long history of glass making, mainly lamps and fishing floats, and after WWII making glass for the American forces there.
There are currently 9 master craftsmen working at RGC, and a number of additional apprentices and gaffers. It seems a big operation, although they are big in the tourist trade as a place to experience your own efforts at glass blowing, so working with novice blowers probably takes a fair bit of time.
These two vases are probably 20 or so years old (based on their boxes) and although made to the same pattern have individual differences in height and shape and the hot working.
Much as I am a colour lover I actually like the clear version here a bit more.
