I got this set from my Grandmother's things after she passed. Not interested in selling so much as determining what it is and significance. All I know is that it is Lalique and likely a wedding gift circa 1935.
Does anyone know anything about this?
Wow what an amazing piece! Is it signed R. Lalique or Lalique France? That could help date it. All I can tell you is don't be tempted to sell, even though it could be worth A TON OF MONEY. You should check Lalique.com they could probably help you with all the info you are looking for. Truly amazing piece thanks for sharing.
The decanter is marked Lalique France in frosted block letters and the shotglasses have an engraved signature. I can see the first word is Lalique- I actually thought it was Salique and googled that, but got redirected to Lalique- but the second word I can't make out. I will try to take a picture.
Thank you for the information and the obvious enthusiasm!
Hi from Sydney Australia!
I saw the liqueur glasses in a magazine in 1977 and went to Paris the next year intending to buy some. I went into the Lalique store in Paris and was told they were no longer available. They are a pattern called "Enfants", I think.
The little shots have Lalique and the other word is France.
I had not seen the decanter before this moment. It's amazingly beautiful! The pattern is "Hélène".
You've taken me back thirty years. I envy you. Thanks for sharing.
