Here is the CLOSING DAY CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE for the final day of the Century Of Progress 1934 INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION, Oct. 31, 1934. For the length of time the Expo was on, (A year or more?) My 22 year old dad drove a "cab" to and fro for as many hours a day he could!! It has always been in our family photo box, and was kept in pristine shape, obviously important to my dad
. THERE HE IS THE TAXI* DRIVER #2 PHOTO.
He drove years before he was married and a dad.. The patrons were issued this certificate that they attended that final day to keep. (It was NOT a "ticket" ) Nice quality, on card stock.
I wonder how many attended and how many saved these Certificates? Common? Or harder to find in this condition?
That's a real treasure Lois!! I've never seen one of these until now.
See My Dad when he drove back and forth everyday to the EXPO in his Taxicab."BOB" Six Two, 180 pounds, black hair, hazel eyes. (For those who prefer colored photos, color him in with my details.)
He was really young looking in that pic. I know you must still be very proud of him.
Hey--My thanks to you for taking a look over here. So much to see today!

*********-jscott===Thanks for looking at my dad. Both my mom and dad died of lung cancer--My dad was only in his 60s. I don't smoke for obvious reasons. I was so lucky to have a wonderful family. You can tell because I talk about them often.
My dad was a very kind man. He always tried to stick up for the underdogs of this world. And real under dogs of the canine variety too. My memories are all good of home life.I was blessed.-----------------------------------------------------------
