    Hello I have found this old gold pendant that seems to have no marks, no sure how old it is , but has date 44 engraved on the back, looks italian to me but don't know why.

      Muguette is derived from French muguet "lily of the valley". It was a very popular name in France in the 1920s but is not very common nowadays.

      There does not appear to be a Sainte Muguette, so presumably this is the Virgin. Given the decidedly female name of the former owner, more likely the medallion is French, a birthday gift, perhaps.
