Don't no the history. 1800's maybe early 1900's on wheels. Wooden round knobs. Four drawers with keyholes. 42" in length, 21" wide, 45" height. Interested in knowing the age of the dresser. The dresser was given to us. All the drawers work although we don't have the keys to the drawers. The top 2 drawers are similar in size the 3rd drawer down is wider and the bottom drawer is wider than the 3rd. Any help would be great.

I suspect late 19th century. A jpg of the drawer joint and the back should confirm.

The finish is pretty rough and these are not in vogue right now.

I think scottvez was a bit generous with the age.

      Nope-- accurate.

The dovetails, chamfered drawer bottom and general style would put it in the late 19th century.

What do you see that puts it in the 20th century?

my guess would be right around 1860. those big knobs weren't in fashion for long after that.
