Hello I found this old lock and broken chain that's someone has broken up, it is marked in a way I've not seen before so hoping someone can help with more info about this, I think it must be at least vintage.
20 microns is very good and used e.g. on watch cases with a 20 year wear guarantee.
Honestly marked and a good answer for claims often seen here on CW ‚‚not marked but tested for gold‚‚

Unfortunately, it cannot be repaired because if hard soldered and acid pickled, which cannot be avoided, the gold coating would disappear.But if long enough, links can be mechanically manipulated with non- serrated pliers, carefully because they are hollow.
