    I purchased these nightstands privately from a seller who said he bought at auction about 10 years ago. He thinks they are from the mid-late 1800's. I don't know much about antique furniture, and I'm hoping to get a rough estimate of the date of manufacture.

      Your seller may be a little optimistic dating it mid/late 1800, perhaps rather first half 20th.

      They are nice indeed but my gut feeling says 1980's replica. I used to sell British replicas that were so much in fashion in the 80's and the finish really reminds me of those. A little too smooth on the edges and the dents and marks are evenly distributed. Just my guess without seeing it IRL.
