This is a Bronzart Martin B-26 Marauder Cast Metal Pre-war (WW2) Model is as displayed in the waiting room at Martin Aircraft's Baltimore Plant in 1941. It depicts the first production unit used in the initial flight testing of the modern bomber. This model features the pre-war "flash n dash" markings, "High-Vis" red cowlings, prop spinners and new polished prop disks for a dynamic, in-flight appearance. This particular full-scale aircraft was a popular airplane with the 1940's press and magazine publishers. Many photos and paintings were published of this very airplane. The vintage magazine as displayed is just one of many vintage depictions.
The silver/gold paint on the model is Bronzart's own special color and their trademark when models were manufactured for non-military applications. This particular model will become a feature display when it returns to a private museum in Maryland.
Enjoy your weekend everyone!
