    Found this tintype several weekends ago at a yard sale. Unfortunately the person I bought this from didn't have any information on this picture, she said she found it among her mother's estate. It is large tintype around
    7"x 9" with painted embellishments ( see close ups ).

      Cowan's auctions will give you an expert estimate for free.

      Most of these late 19th century painted tintypes will go in the range of about $25- $100.

      The biggest factor in that range is subjective opinion-- beautiful women, handsome men and cute children tend to push the high end. Additionally period framing will add to the value.

      I would expect yours to be on the lower end of that estimate.
