This vase belongs to my in-laws, it's a very heavy piece, around 15 pounds and 16 inches tall. The only things we know about it are that it's handmade, and was purchased at auction. I'm wondering if anybody has any idea of the maker, type, or any other descriptive details on this- THANK YOU!

As an aside note- the pictures keep posting sideways- even after I edit them- any suggestions would be appreciated! :-)

Hi Rachel. Do you know how long ago the vase was purchased?

@ Karen - are you thinking what I am thinking with base matted ?

      Yes Rose.
Rachel based on the base finish, the colours, shape, and clear casing, Rose and I would be pretty sure this is a Chinese made vase.
Note that although some would think that means it's not very valuable, it remains an attractive and accomplished piece of glass.
