    I have no idea what this was used for. I found it in France. On the pewter lid it has a winged horse and underneath " marque deposee ". It holds half a litre. There is a tide mark on the outside which suggests it was put in water. It is very heavy and when you unscrew the pewter lid, there is a ceramic lid underneath. If anyone knows the age and use...please tell me. Thank you.
