This Victorian rose bowl is made from two layers of cased glass - a pale yellow over a white interior. It measures 10.5 cm tall, 7.5 cm across the incurved, crimped top rim, & 9.5 cm across the applied, clear, footed base, which has a snapped pontil mark.
The rose bowl has rustic thorn pull - out decoration all over.
I must say, I am getting quite a few rose bowls lately...can't say I've set out to collect them specifically, but more as a consequence of the decors they feature. Rustic thorn pull - outs on just about any item always get my attention...how I adore glass with lumps, bumps, & spikes!
Could be English or Bohemian.
