I would like to know if anyone could help me to identify this pin. It was found at an old home place located on our farm.

It is a collar disk for the 116th Infantry Regiment.

The 116th was a Virginia (VA) National Guard unit and became a part of the 29th Division.

Both the Regiment and Division saw combat during WW1.

I believe your gold colored (gilt)/ pebbled disk dates from post WW1 era. WW1 era disk would be bronze.
