This ad from The Saturday Evening Post's March 24, 1923 edition promotes TonCan, a product of Republic Steel. Featured is a great architectural rendition of Yankee Stadium.

The concept of an encircled Yankee Stadium never materialized, but we all can recall that "The Big Ballyard In the Bronx" was wonderfully aesthetic throughout its existence.

The ad also indicates that TonCan could be used for smaller applications as Joseph Jermyn's Pennsylvania barn is pictured and described as using TonCan Iron.

Attached is a 1937 Republic Steel booklet describing this product.

Thank you, Sean...they ran out of money to fully encircle the field, but the original Yankee Stadium was truly a "Baseball Cathedral".
