    Is someone here familiar with Egyptian marks?

    I bought this little pendant in a thrift shop and it has some marks. Not sure if it is gold or gold plated.

      I believe you have 750 gold there....have it tested anyway.

      Nefertiti is marked as 18K, probably assayed in the Cairo office. :)

      BTW, if it were gold plated silver, it would be marked for the silver content. Egypt does not really mark for gold plate.

      What a great find, love the gold ! I have about 100 of them, but they are just plate and enamel. I was doing a room in an Egyptian theme at the time and I took them off bracelets.
