This Victorian palm tree vase is made from ruby glass with clear applied decoration. It measures 22.5 cm tall, 4.5 cm across the fire polished top rim, & 10.5 cm across the base, which has a rough, snapped pontil mark.
The vase has rustic thorn pull - out decoration, clear applied fronds, & stylised clear applied leaves encircling the base.
I feel confident in saying this is of English origin, & may possibly be by John Walsh Walsh.

This type of vase is very hard to find...I have been looking for one for a long time.
