LOUMANAL
(436 items)
Three years ago I uploaded here at CW a pair of Paperweight vases that was suggested could be Murano or of Chinese origin. I'll upload a link to the original vases in this page. This weekend at a garage sale, I found this tall Emerald green Paperweight Vase that still had a sticker. It probably dates 1950's like the other ones but it has a lot more going for it. The paperweight section is crystal clear with green canes attached to trapped bubbles and some floating around. The applied emerald green vase section is panelled and tapered and opens up to a "peeled-back" rim that reattaches to the vase. It measures 11 1/4" tall by 3 1/2" in diameter (paperweight). The under-base is slightly concave and polished and has the proof of origin, albeit not enough info. as to the maker. I would assume that the other paperweight vases that I uploaded 3 years ago were also from Japan. BOB
Here are the other paperweight vases that I uploaded 3 years ago.
