BILL CURRY / DESIGN LINE Aluminum Cube Bookends - RARE - Mid Century Modern Minimalist

Aluminum Cube Bookends designed by the renowned American designer William “Bill” Curry (1927-1971) and made by Design Line - a home furnishings company Curry founded along with his wife Jacquelyn in El Segundo, California in 1963 (closed in 1977). Both cubes are painted a semi-glossy yellow (they sometimes appear more yellow-chartreuse under certain lighting conditions). Cubes measure 4” x 4” x 4” and are weighted with sand - inserted into holes on bottom that are covered with the label stickers. Both are marked with original stickers reading “Design Line (DL Logo) El Segundo California”.
