Shabaeff Valentin-Firsov, Oil on Canvas "The Soldier" Cubist, 1940-50

I have this painting for few years now, i found it at goodwill, I really like the very strong Cubist style of this one, this is made in the early 40s, Shabaeff work in Canada from the 30s to the 80s

Shabaeff Valentin-Firsov was born and educated in Russia,he maintained his studio, together with his wife Sonia ,in Montreal, Canada. Shabaeff represented Canada with painting at the New York World´s Fair in 1939. Worked as a painter, sculptur,ceramics and produced reliefs and murals.
