UPDATED - The Lotton Gallery was kind enough to help me out with the description. :)
Here is another early work by Charles Lotton that shows his curiosity and innovative spirit, ca. 1973 - just three years into his glassmaking career. I've never seen another like it. The ground is amber, and it is coated with Mr. Lotton's famous iridescent sunset spray. It is this spray that earned him the moniker "The Tiffany of the 21st Century". The effect is really intense and somewhat of a challenge to photograph, because it has the appearance of being oversaturated - but it's not! Perfect ground and polished pontil, and correctly signed Charles Lotton 1973 just above the base.
This one is really unique. Love it!
