It works very well. I plan to refurbish it in my spare time.
This is my first tube radio. The fifth of the family.
I only need the back covers.
Update : 21.09.17
Tonight I polished the outside. I chose the wrong paste, instead of brasso I buy peek. It was not satisfying.
I then opted for baking soda and lemon juice. I then finished rubbing with castor oil. It made a very nice finish.
Unfortunately I believe that someone in the past tried to wash the front and top with corrosive cleaner that melted the wood finish.
I would like to have an idea for an antenna that captures better than the two end of wire. Thanks in advance.

Original or something colorful? Got a few old tube radio's and was thinking of doing something with them.
I think I'll stay at the classic.
Good choice for this one. It has a great design.
That is a Bakelite cabinet and if you clean it well with a good household cleaner
and then polish it with brasso, it will come out very nice.
