    Like a new one!
The sound is beautiful, smooth and clear. It is running all day long at home. I think it was manufactured in 1978 but it would have to be confirmed.

Very cool! I have a similar model (#ICF-9640W) in my kitchen (where it also plays beautifully all day most every day) but mine has a 'horizontal' design, with its dial and knobs across the bottom and speaker grille above them. Same style knobs, cabinet, grillecloth, and SONY FIDELITY SOUND badge, though!
