Well I was looking through a big bag of jewellery items at a boot sale on Saturday as my wife has a big vintage fair at the weekend and she could do with some more brooches, and the woman said 'you can have that for £2 because I don't want to take it home!'. I thought she meant the brooch I had in my hand but she meant the entire bag! So, lots of rummaging at home and findings some really nice thing, I found this. And I am stumped. Small sheild shaped end, probably brass I'm thinking, and a steel hook. Actually quite nicely made and there are a couple indentations in the back under the dirt but not hopeful of marks of any kind. It's about 3.5 inches long.
Perhaps a shoe button hook or a glove hook. What other goodies did you all find in that bag??
