One more neat old 'primitive' kitchen item for this evening. :-) This large stainless (?) fork with originally painted wooden handle has a maker's logo stamp of "A&J MADE IN U.S.A.". The handle has(d) mostly cream-colored paint with either a blue-green stripe at its end, or a blue-green end -- but most of the paint on its actual end is already chipped off, so I don't have any way to tell now which way it first was. It caught my eye because its kinda *big* -- 13" long overall.
Though I got it from Mom's house, I'd rather guess it started its life in the kitchen of one of my Aunts or Grandmothers instead...seems too old for something that Mom would have had.
No matter what color the end of the handle used to be, I think it should look pretty cool sticking outta my crock-ful of old kitchen utensils anyway...? (along with the red-handled eggbeater, etc. etc)
