Long before somebody invented the now ubiquitous '2cup Mr. Coffee' machines now found in thousands of motel rooms (etc) across the USA, not to mention those single-serving 'pod' machines now becoming even more popular -- apparently there was THIS. :-) [I'm not sure whether it was intended for use in a hotel room BTW...probably not, but maybe???]
It is a complete 1-cup (I guess...can't be much more anyway?) electric percolator, made of aluminum by "EMPIRE THE METAL WARE CORP. TWO RIVERS WIS." whose diamond-shaped logo is stamped onto its bottom, which also identifies it as their "CAT. NO. 63-R". (note the 4 nifty little half-round 'fiberboard feet' on it, too!) It sits all of 8-1/2" tall, and is 5-1/2" across its handle/spout.
The yellow bit in my pics is covering a strip of tape on which my Mom noted exactly which one of my distant Aunts she got this little prize from...I didn't figure anybody here would really care about that particular detail, but it does help me to guess that this item likely dates from the 1940's if not earlier. (but again probably not, ifn's the cordset with it is original, which might not be the case?)
