From the 'antique toolbox' collections, reclaimed from Mom's basement. :-)
I think this was a 'prize' from a random farm auction 30yrs ago when I was a teenager. Still in operable condition (I think?) it is a CUMMINS model 190 1/4" drill, made by CUMMINS PORTABLE TOOLS of Chicago. The dark stains seen on its aluminum (?) housing are remains of old oil, apparently a former owner kept it very well lubricated...? ;-)
The drill itself (without the spade bit stuck in it) measures about 12" long. Likely dates from the 1950's...?
