I purchased this Spittoon off Ebay last year and had it Shipped from the United Kingdom, which I believe it was manufactured, I think it might be Stourbridge but I'm not 100% sure, The pattern looks like a Honey Comb, and it has some very interesting glass and when under a Black Light the Yellow Glass Glows Orange, and the Blue Glass Glows A Funky Green! which is really sweet! Mint Condition! Thanks for looking! and if anyone has any information or opinions they are welcome.
    Best Regards

I would think it is a vase and not a spittoon.

Hmm... its a really tough call Scott, it has a Funnel shape like a spittoon, but it also looks like a Vase, I just thought spittoon sounded more unique people just dont use that word much any more! :)

It sure is unique. Maybe spittoon shaped, but I am not familiar with any art glass spittoons. Spittoon were usually found sitting on the floor and were a much larger form. This would be a tough target and it would be ashame to waste this objects beauty by filling it with spit!

Do you know of catalogued/ documented examples of ART GLASS that were actually sold as spittoons?

These small vases were and are often called Posy (Posey) vases.
