Just acquired this framed printed painting by Steve Sheflin, from 1977, of the Beechcraft biplane, the Model D17S Staggerwing.
If the wing designation is correct (NC18579), this particular aircraft was manufactured in 1937 and was impressed into U.S. Army Air Force, Long Beach AAF, in 1942.
I have found little to nothing on this artist, Steve Sheflin, but have a few feelers out that will hopefully produce some info.
