AntiqueRose's post of her assorted insulator collection yesterday prompted me to snap a couple pics of my little assortment 'catching the afternoon sun' too. :-) I'm quite certain none of mine are the slightest bit "rare" or "unusual" -- they're all very common styles and colors.
First two pics are just one of my front room picture windowsills -- the other one holds the *other* half of that beer case-ful of clear Hemingray 9's (plus 1 clear Hemingray 42 in the center, because I accidentally had a matching pair of those, too) that I got at a sale someplace 25+yrs ago dirt cheap. 28 #9's and one #42 in each window...58pcs total. ;-)
The last pics are another windowsill -- 11 more totally common (no two completely alike, though, nor like those in the front wdos) Hemingrays, and one solitary (unmarked, likely rather contemporary) brown ceramic example. One of the (clear, I think?) glass ones might be by another maker. (Armstrong?)
Someplace in the basement I also have a boxful of several little angled wooden 'arms' with threaded ends, that used to hold insulators like these to the side of a telephone pole.
Gee, I'm glad my house has big windowsills?!! <lol>
