Although a large part of their market was related to bar items I have few Hoya Crystal drinking glasses. Hoya made glasses in a huge range of styles and price placement between 1950 and about 1995, from cheap pressed glass to hand cut crystal.
These two flutes are from around 1970 I believe, and have been hand cut.
Hoya proudly boasted that in testing their crystal had topped the world list for clarity, and these flutes demonstrate incredible light refraction through the beautiful cuts.
They came in their bespoke box, as was usual for Hoya's hand made work.
Although these are not really my sort of glass with their very traditional style, I do really appreciate the excellence and beauty of this crystal.
I have yet to drink from them, but don't worry, they will soon hold a worthy liquid!
Very nice Karen, I love crystal!!
Bottoms Up !!!
Thanks girls! (if I'm still a girl, so are you Judy and Peggy )
