My Favorite American Brilliant Period Cut Crystal

I absolutely love this bowl and will attempt to fully describe its lovely attributes.

This mesmerizing bowl boasts an exquisite, sparkling pattern of double-mitered trellis, in which deeply carved octagonal spaces are graced by octagonal hobstars. Each octagonal space is formed by four intersecting parallel miter cuts, and further enhanced by less pronounced mitered pyramidal triangles (similar in shape to the Egyptian Pyramids), as well as mitered triangles.

This pattern covers the entire outer surface of the bowl and is pleasing to both the eye and the hand. The hopstar topped hopnails lend to the bowl a prickly but not unpleasant feel to the hand, and when held up to the light the bowl literally sparkles.

It measures 8" wide x 2" deep.
