Bought this unusual teapot from a market. I am fairly sure it is an antique because of the pottery used and also I am believing the seller who said it was her grandmothers. It is a very heavy or thick pottery. The lid does not fit like a regular teapot ie nothing would stop it from falling off if tilted forward. It came with a large beaker and matching lid (that has a small chip but I don't mind). Just love the colour also. The teapot also sits on a platform.
It is stamped under the beaker with 'England' but the mark under the pot is too faded to read.
Not sure what I will use it for....perhaps brewing herbs?
Has anyone seen one like this before. Would be interested to know if it is for tea or for herb brewing.
