Trying to determine manufacture and approximate age of this desk, When we recieved desk from an estate in 1960, it had locks of hair and button with what appeared to be photos from mid 1800's,pin and bric a brac galore.
Sorry for the pick being sizeway. Don't know how to fix.
A traditional rolltop desk which seems to have no real style to it. With the 100's to maybe 1000 and more furniture makers up to 1970 or so, a person who has the one that possibly had a label to it woud be the only person who could give any answer to a maker. The style has a rather cheap stretcher that rules out a lot of the better makers as they would have been marked proudly if well made. The drawer pulls look to be around 20's style but this piece may have been made later into the 1950's as they were using those pulls especially when trying to copy the regency period. There seems to have been some decoration in the wood around the drawers. It would help if pictures with table lid closed and better close ups.
I load my pics only from a desk computer which helps leave no pics upside down or especially sideways.
