Pink Glass 2 Tiered Cake Stand

I found this cake stand today in a charity shop. It seems to be an original stand (I know a lot of vintage cake stands have been made recently with old plates etc). The plates are both the same size, and are made of pink glass, frosted underneath. I did wonder if the red handle on the top is bakerlite. How can you tell? I am going to have to make some cup cakes now! I did wonder if it is Walther Glass from Germany, but I can't find any similar anywhere on-line.
