This little bottle opener/corkscrew isn't even fully 3" long (and has a handy hole) so that it might have originally been a keychain item. Nicely made of seemingly high quality plated steel, it says "KESSLER SMOOTH AS SILK BLENDED WHISKEY" on one side and "KESSLER CO., LAWRENCEBURG, IND. 86 PROOF. 72 1/2%GR. NEU. SPRTS." on the other, along with a small maker's ID of "VAUGHAN CHICAGO MADE & PAT IN U.S.A.". The corkscrew would 'unclip' (from a small groove also on the backside, provided to hold it closed) and fold out for use.
Guessing 1950's or 60's for this one...I'm not sure if KESSLER was actually produced long enough ago to have not come in screw-top bottles, and believe their labels currently identify the product as "KESSLER'S blended whisky". If anybody knows more please speak up! :-)
