This is an N. Clark & Sons planter from Alameda, CA. It is about 18 inches tall and about 16 inches across and very heavy. It's in fairly good condition with some minor chips. I've searched the web and can not find another one like it. Has any one else seen or know of this planter?
Another fine planter! I'm more of a Southern California guy and have no information on this company. The Oakland Museum used to be a good source of information on Alameda County pottery history - probably still is. It is surely contemporary with the GMcB pieces you have posted.
Beautiful, almost looks like Hawaiian Monstera leafs. Is it cement or stoneware?
