One more that just seemed a little 'too pretty' to send off to Goodwill. ;-)
This littlish amber colored glass dish is roughly 6" square and 2-1/2" tall at the corners. The upraised corners give it a pleasant, graceful profile along with its not-quite square overall shape. The round 'base' is ground and polished flat around its edge, but dished in towards its center.
There are no markings of any kind on it, and I don't have any real idea of its age but have to guess it 1950's-60's, due to its color and unadorned general style. Just seems to me like it'd be something found in a mid-century-modern home...??
Does anybody here recognize anything about it that would suggest a maker/age/origin/etc for real?? Would this be considered "art glass", or just a candy dish??? ALL SUGGESTIONS/INFO WELCOMED!! :-) :-) :-)
It looks hand blown to me with that base and shape. I agree, it's a great looking piece.
