    Folding steel. Two faces have small brass feet, so I don't think it's drilling jig. Two folding flaps are thick, the other two are thinner. The holes are not threaded, but do taper nicely when folded together. Its an odd one.

      interesting thought, but it does not free-stand with the holes in a horizontal plane...which is the way you use it for test tubes. Thanks for the thought, though...
