    This is what the typical insect sprayers looked like from the early days. I'm guessing this one to be from the late 40's to early 60's. This one is earlier because it has the glass "tank" instead of the metal one (later versions, was made as part of piece instead of separate.) I have included a photo of a can of the spray that went inside. The can may not date the same as the sprayer, but I thought i might as well include it to finish off the post. The sprayer does not say continuous on it, but later ones with the metal "tank" did, and they operated the same way, so I'm assuming this is also a continuous sprayer, just not labeled as such.

      AH yes, I clearly remember my father spraying our room for mozzies before we went to sleep, and huge droplets of pesticide landing on our faces. I think it had an effect !!
