This wood stove is in the cabin my husband and I recently bought. It is not installed to code, so we don't use it for cooking at the moment. We have been trying to find info on it and have had no luck. Here is all we know:

The front door reads Security Stove & Mfg Co, Kansas City MO. The side oven doors say Iron Security. It has all four range covers, and a wire shelf in the oven. It's a well-built cast iron piece, but may have been repaired at one point. Searched for the manufacturer show that they seemed to have quit making stoves in the 30s, but we can't find a list of models or anything.

We're just looking for any insight as to what we may have here, or at least to be pointed to some resources that may help. Thanks!

This is a beauty and I'm sure they only left it behind due to weight! Here is a site that may give you some insight. There are actually quite a few site, you just have to put the word antique in front of your search words.

      http://stovehospital.com/

This place used to be A1 Stove Hospital, apparently changed their name but maybe they can help. Hope this works for you...again, that's a gorgeous piece and it looks to be in great shape. Maybe just some touch ups. Welcome to CW by the way!
