    We need a tip on this no info whatsoever. It's seems the bottom might have a faded date. My godmother says her family has had it for some many years. It's cherished dearly.

      Hi there. It's an ashtray. You don't say what it's made of but I have a pipe holder with a pup like this guy and it's made of bronze. Yours may be ceramic, but none the less, it's an ashtray! Don't know the year. Possibly around the 50's 60's!

      Sorry about not being more detailed. My apologies.
      Indeed a ashtray. Ceramic, no. I thought it could be cast iron. Just was not sure. It's smooth, yet heavy.
      So would you suggest bronze rather iron?
